Fulfillment Profiles

Squarespace has an option for fulfillment profiles. If you have an online store and you’re reading this, you know what that means. If you don’t, well, fulfillment profiles are basically the shipping options you give your customers.

I made a bunch X number of weeks ago. I was wondering why I wasn’t getting any orders, and decided to do a test order in case a problem I encountered previously had returned (when I first started up the store I couldn’t get the payment system to work right, it was me making mistakes, not Squarespace’s fault lol). Thankfully it hadn’t. But what had happened, was that every single product was applying the U.S. shipping charge at checkout.

I had thought that customers would be able to simply choose shipping based on the country they’re ordering from. Nope, that $8.00 shipping charge was automatic, even for stickers and prints.

What you’re supposed to do, is apply different fulfillment profiles to each product manually, that way your customers are only charged $1.00 for paper mail, and charged larger shipping rates for heavier products.

Now, when you order something from me there won’t be a ridiculous $8.00 shipping rate for ONE STICKER.
